What This Is
This is a custom duplication service for rings with personal significance. Your existing ring is 3D scanned, then recreated as a new piece with selected material and design details.
It is ideal for:
- Engagement rings
- Wedding bands
- Heirloom rings
- Sentimental rings you do not want to travel with
- Everyday alternatives to higher-value pieces
Why Create a Duplicate?
Some pieces are too meaningful to leave behind, but too valuable or delicate to wear everywhere.
A duplicate allows you to preserve the look and feeling of your original ring while creating a version suited for travel, everyday movement, or lower-risk wear.
It is not a replacement for the original. It is a companion piece.
Customization Options
Depending on the ring and design, available options may include:
- Metal: 925 Sterling Silver, 10K Gold, 14K Gold, 18K Gold, 19K Gold, 20K Gold, 22K Gold, 24K Gold, Platinum
- Stone selection: lab-grown, natural, synthetic, or alternative stones
- Finish: high polish, satin, matte, brushed
- Plating: rhodium, black rhodium, gold vermeil, when appropriate
- Band adjustments: width, height, comfort fit, sizing refinements
- Stone setting adjustments, where structurally possible
Final customization options depend on the original ring design and scan review.

FAQs
Do you need my original ring?
Yes. A 3D scan requires access to the original ring. Logistics will be confirmed after inquiry.
What is the $750 fee?
This $750 deposit begins your Studio Edition No. 01 ring duplicate project. It includes image upload, project notes, initial review, and intake for a 3D-scan-based duplicate of your existing ring.
The deposit is credited toward your final project total. Final pricing is based on material, stones, complexity, scan requirements, and production details. Purchasing this deposit does not guarantee final production until the ring has been reviewed and the final quote has been approved.
Will the duplicate be exactly the same?
The duplicate is designed to closely follow the form of the original ring, but slight differences may occur due to material, stone, production, or structural considerations.
How long does it take?
Most projects take 4–8 weeks after scan, approval, and payment.
How do I send my ring?
For high-value or sentimental rings, local handoff to the NYC studio is recommended whenever possible.
Clients may arrange their own shipping, but NUNCHI is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, insufficient insurance, or carrier denial of claims before the piece is received by the studio.
