Ewa’s New York Ring
Ewa came to us with a 0.58 ct pear-cut yellow lab-grown diamond and a reason to make something entirely her own.
She was preparing to leave New York and wanted the ring to become a goodbye gift to herself: a piece that could hold the chapter she was closing without feeling overtly sentimental or bridal. She had already built a Pinterest board, but the final design was still open. The references centered on pear-shaped stones, sculptural settings, and symmetrical silhouettes, with the diamond set north-to-south to create a strong vertical line. The direction balanced clean, contemporary forms with subtle vintage influence: architectural metalwork, restrained detailing, and the warmth of yellow gold, without letting the piece read as a traditional engagement ring.
We developed three sketch directions, each exploring a different way to frame the pear. The final design was the most restrained: the yellow diamond held at the center of a clean, stone-free band shaped with soft, modern waves. The connection to New York was kept private. Inside the ring, we added an engraving tied to Ewa’s time in the city, a detail whose meaning belongs only to her.
A goodbye to one chapter, made into something she could take with her.
A yellow diamond at the center, soft waves in the band, and a private engraving inside to hold the part of New York she wanted to keep.
Ewa’s Pinterest board explored sculptural settings, symmetrical silhouettes, vintage detailing, and contemporary metalwork. We translated those references into three directions before refining the final design in CAD.
The starting point: a 0.58 ct pear-cut yellow lab-grown diamond.Set north-to-south, the shape created the strong vertical line that guided the rest of the design.
